I'm sure that everyone has seen this before, but it's still an interesting little study, not only of the progress of one family through the years, but also of hairstyles through the years. Someone really ought to do a series of photographs similar to this, taken once a year for a number of years, but instead of being a photograph of each person in the family, take a photograph of a random sample of their wardrobe. Starting in the 70s with a project like that would be hilarious and sobering, as we remember how ridiculous bell-bottoms or sequined shirts look, and how quickly public opinion can change our own opinions of what looks good.
In other news, I've read How To Blog, by Tony Pierce. I don't quite agree with everything in there (and for others things, it's too late), but it has caused me to re-think the way I treat this little corner of the internet. So I'm going to try doing things a little differently for a while. Aided by net stumbler, a quick wit, an extensive vocabulary, and an enormous ego, I'm going to try doing short posts, once a day, about whatever strikes my interest. I'm also going to update my links to include various blogs that I've been reading off and on ever since my sojourn into the heart of the blogospere. So, check back tomorrow and maybe there'll be something new.
